How Consignment Works at Wildflower Trading Co.

Welcome to Wildflower Trading Co., your local women’s and children’s consignment boutique located in the heart of Downtown Manhattan, Kansas. Consigning with us is simple, transparent, and designed to help you earn while giving your clothing a second life.

 

What We Accept

We carefully curate high-quality items for our shoppers. We accept:

• Gently used or new women’s and children’s clothing
   

• Shoes, accessories, jewelry and purses
   

• Trend-forward, in-season styles (typically last 2–3 years unless its vintage, 90s or older)
   

• Clean, freshly laundered clothing in excellent condition

• No more than 30 items per appointment.

 

All items must come from smoke-free homes.

If you’re unsure about an item, bring it in—we’re happy to take a look!

 

 How to Consign

Step 1: Make an appointment online

• Appointments available Wednesdays and Thursdays

Step 2: Bring your items to your appointment. 

Our team reviews each item based on style, condition, brand, and season. Accepted items are entered into our system and prepared for sale. Do not hang on hangers. Please do not bring more than 30 items.

Step 3: Items Hit the Sales Floor

Your items are displayed for up to 45 days, during which they may be discounted according to our markdown schedule. The last week of consignment, items go on sale 50% off.

 

Commission & Payment Details

We offer two commission rates:

• 30% – Standard consignor rate

• 50% – College students with a valid student ID
   

Payment amounts can be accessed through your Ricochet Go account and redeemed as:

• In-store credit

• Cash or electronic payout (processing times may vary)

How to Access the App

1. Download Ricochet Go from the App Store or Google Play.
    

2. Use our guide from our website to get logged in.
    

3. Start tracking your sales!
    

If you need help logging in, we’re happy to assist.

 

Expired & Unsold Items

After the 45-day consignment period:

• Items not sold or picked up before the expiration date become property of Wildflower Trading Co.
   

• Consignors are responsible for locating their expired items on the sales floor and picking them up.

• Consignors are responsible for tracking their expiration date on the Ricochet Go app. We do not contact you about upcoming expiration.

Tips for Successful Consignment

• Bring freshly washed, wrinkle-free items
   

• Focus on current, in-season styles
   

• Remove lint, pet hair, etc.
   

• Bring higher-demand brands for best results
